What's the greatest challenge he faced thus far in his wine career? "To make the best possible wine with unlimited budget, in a new area. If something goes wrong it is absolutely my fault. To commit to such a great responsibility requires you to think smarter and work harder. It is definitely more challenging."

And what was the most significant lesson he learned so far from his time working at Yatir winery? "Not to impose ideas on a new region established elsewhere," he says. "There are no universal rules in winemaking."
